What we accept

Mauer House is for original physical artwork made by the artist selling it. Every listing is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and there are no ads or promoted placements.

Yes

  • Original physical artwork you made yourself. Painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textile art, collage, mixed media, illustration. One object, one listing.
  • Hand-pulled prints. Etching, linocut, woodcut, lithograph, screen print, where you pulled the edition. Labelled with the edition size.
  • Limited edition prints of your own work. Signed, numbered, edition size stated (up to 250). If a lab prints them, name the lab. Always labelled "Limited edition print", never "original".
  • Jewelry you designed and fabricated at your bench. One-of-a-kind or small-batch pieces: forged, soldered, cast from your own models, set by hand. Findings like clasps and chains may be bought.

No

  • Reselling. Anything you did not make. No curated or sourced goods, no vintage.
  • Drop-shipping and print-on-demand. Any listing where you never handle the object, or a third party fulfils it without saying so.
  • Work you don't own the rights to. Fan art of copyrighted characters, celebrity likenesses, brand logos.
  • Open editions and merchandise. Posters, canvas prints of digital files, mugs, phone cases, t-shirts, stickers.
  • AI-generated or AI-assisted imagery sold as art. Using AI to think is fine. The final piece has to be made by your hand or your own camera.
  • Digital downloads. We only sell physical work.
  • Made-to-order listings. "I'll paint one like this" isn't a listing. Commissions are coming later, with their own flow.
  • Mockup-only listings. A room scene with the art pasted in and no photo of the real object.
  • Assembled or white-label jewelry. Pieces put together from wholesale components or kits, or resold under your name.
  • Misleading pricing. An inflated "original price" with a permanent discount.

How review works

Submit

Add the work, its details, and clear photos. One of them has to show the real object in the real world.

A person checks it

Against the list above and against your portfolio. Usually within 2 days.

It goes live

Approved work appears in Browse and search with the date it was reviewed. If we need a change, we say exactly what.

After it’s live

Every listing page has a “Report this listing” link. Reports go to a person. A listing stays up unless two independent reports come in or staff flag it, in which case it’s hidden while we look. Rights holders can send a takedown notice and the listing is hidden as soon as it’s received.
